5 Ways to keep warm using your toddler

This feels like the coldest winter we’ve ever had; but I’m pretty sure I say that every year. I actually love winter; I like having a legitimate reason to work in my pjs under piles of duvets and never leave the house. But omg the cold; not even blankets, heaters and hot water bottles are cutting it. But how can you use your toddler to keep warm this winter??

A week of too much

This week has knocked me on my butt, literally at times. I’ve been extremely stubborn and determined about getting back up though, which I feel is progress. Let’s start at the beginning…

Spoilt

A Huggies Event

I am going to confess something that I really shouldn’t. I was like a kid on Christmas Eve on Friday. I know us bloggers are meant to be cool and take invites to events casually; but not me. I was sooooo flattered and felt like I had been picked first for some kind of sports team. I am desperately uncool, I know, and I really don’t care.

The tear

My 16 month old doesn’t sleep & other updates…

The past two weeks have been incredibly stressful and beyond exhausting. It began with me getting sick and then Charly got sick and then her teeth started forcing their way through the gums, leading to an entire week of hours of screaming at a time in the middle of the night. My poor angel has been suffering so much and nothing I have done has made it any better.

Sprout Kids’ Food ~ Review {Giveaway Closed}

One of my goals for this year was to cook one new thing a month. Although I haven’t managed one a month, I’ve had bursts of time where I have done a few new recipes in a single month and then none again for ages. Hands

The Week That Was & What’s Ahead

It’s been a tough week, with me fighting a throat and sinus infection with backup from antibiotics. Charly started to get flu too, but we seem to have headed it off with some flu medication. I did manage to get a lot of work done somehow; and renew my drivers license and attend a client meeting and get some great content ideas for work and made some really exciting decision about the blog… so tough, but not impossible.

The Charly Smiles

How do you manage your fear for your children?

I’ve been reading a lot lately about the fear we have for our children, particularly those of us living in South Africa, although not exclusively. I don’t know if I have been seeing these posts more because of my own anxiety or if there has just been an increase in our levels of awareness of all the things happening around us.

All the Smiles

Wriggling & Rhyming Over Anxiety

I’ve briefly touched on my anxiety when being apart from Charly in the past. I haven’t really mentioned my general anxiety over taking her (or venturing myself) into new and unknown situations. But yes, that’s a thing. I would rather be home than anywhere else.

Toddler Traumas & Reaching Out

So, it’s been a rather unpleasant week. Monday started with taking Charly to get her MMR and Hep A vaccinations. I had the usual anxiety and trepidation I think we all feel when our babies (or toddler) are going to get a jab of any kind, exacerbated by our girl’s utter terror of anything resembling a doctor.
