The moment you meet your baby

One of my favourite experiences from my pregnancy was the 4D scan; it is also one of the things I recommend to any new parents to be. So when Melanie Reyneke from Peek-A-Babe approached me about sharing her business with you all, I was definitely on board. I agreed to do a promotional Facebook post for her (which I will still do), but while I was working on it I started having such amazing memories of seeing my little girl clearly for the first time that I decided to turn it into a completely unsponsored post :)

Supermommy 3 ~ Cassey’s Story

Sometimes I wonder if we, as mommies, would be able to keep trying to fall pregnant, and face pregnancy itself and having a brand new baby, if we actually knew how much can be wrong, or go wrong, along the way. I know logically that the longing for a baby can be bigger than anything though, so I guess it wouldn’t make that much of a difference to the large majority of us.

As I was writing this, Karen was sitting in hospital waiting to hear if her baby girl would be arriving today at 35 weeks due to suspected pre-eclampsia. Luckily, the first round of tests have come back negative and she has been sent home to rest. For a while there I thought that would be two interviews in a row that I was introducing new babies to you :)
