I am not exaggerating when I say Christmas Magic with . What this lovely human does is absolutely magical. This lady is so special to me and I am so very happy and blessed to be sharing that magic with you once again!
First… Christmas Magic with Watercolour Heart…
And then, here is why this is so very special to me… Last year in July, a 20 year old Jess contacted me via email and asked if I would like to work with her introducing her business to the world. I was incredibly honoured that she chose my little blog out of the endless talent and heart out there on the interwebs and agreed.Β I can 100% say that meeting and working with Jess has been one of the best things that has come out of this blog. Not only are we blessed to have this beautiful human in our lives, but I am honoured to be able to watch her talent just grow from strength to strength.
I once said that I had a feeling that Jess was somebody worth watching and I was definitely not wrong! Since I last shared , I have watched as Jess gained confidence and fine-tuned her art, and as her business has blossomed. Watercolour Heart started out as a unique illustration business that took your treasured photographs and transformed them into a work of art. Jess hand-draws and uses her watercolours to create a beautiful illustration, which is then scanned in and perfected digitally.
Until this year, the product was only a digital illustration, sent to you in the highest qualityΒ jpeg and PDF files via email. The idea was that you could use the illustration in the way that perfectly suited you, from sharing it online to having it printed on canvas, card or even on your printer at home. If you are crafty and have the perfect idea in your head and the time to make it a reality, digital is totally perfect!
Almost exactly a year from our little launch, Jess added the option of print illustrations. Unsurprisingly, this has quickly become the favourite option for her client. All of us WANT to take the time to find or create the perfect, heartstring-pulling gift that our loved ones deserve, but life is manic. The print means that your illustration is couriered to your door, ready to wrap and gift or put up in your home!
The prints come on a 300gsm paper. They are supported by a thick card base and wrapped in tissue paper, before being placed inside a glossy white portfolio file. The highlight of 2016 for Jess was introducing her 3 new illustration packages: Little moments, Always Remember and Never Forget. Don’t you just LOVE those names? Jess has a gift for names, last year’s Christmas Magic Wreaths were Blue Moon, Masala & Teal, Apple Blossoms & Pinecones, Succulents & String, Peppermint Twist and Tradtional Christmas!
Back to the packages! Little Moments keeps it classic and simple. A beautiful black and white illustration, either in digital or print.
The Always Remember Print illustration package, includes features such as an additional mini print of your order and a personalised card to match the wreath design.Β These packages are designed to create value for those who donβt have the time to print illustrations but still want to have aΒ personal hand in the putting together of the gift. There is also a digital package available.
As a special new feature (JUST in time for Christmas), Jess has added theΒ Never ForgetΒ package. This is an add on to either theΒ Little Moments or Always Remember print packages, where you can have your print illustration set in a beautiful black or white gallery frame. This means that it is literally the perfect gift the moment it arrives!
The variety of illustrations you can choose to gift this year has also grown! Jess has added pet portrait illustrations and wedding illustrations to her offering. With Jess’s skill and her wanting to help people capture their most precious memory, whatever you choose will be the perfect gift! This blend of handcrafting and technology makes the end result completely original and captures not only the image but the heart of the image.
One of 2016βs amazing “milestones” was the creation of Watercolour Heartβs very own pregnancy milestone card range! (See what I did there… Yes, my sense of humour is getting cheesier daily). As you would expect from this talent, they are a beautiful set of fun, colourfully illustrated cards to uniquely and creatively share in the growth of a mom-to-beβs baby bump! A perfect Christmas gift for your pregnant friends and family… (is it just me, or is everybody you know sharing their happy news at the moment?? Allllll the tiny babies to coo over!) Aaaaaand refocus again!!
Last year Jess created a special Christmas Magic package that came with beautiful Christmas labels and special holiday wreaths.
Jess and I are #ChristmasBesties because of our mutual love for all things Christmas, personalised everything and spoiling people we love. With this in mind, she started plotting a Christmas Magic special for this year JUST for us!! Really and truly.

I would love to give my faraway family a personalized Christmas card, I have family in Durban, London and Zambia – and we are in East London. We won’t be seeing any of our family this Christmas so this would be a lovely way to surprise them with a little piece of us this year.
I would gift it to my bestie
I would love to give this this to my family and friends over this festive season, it would be so heartwarming and memorable to surprise them on Christmas Day and over the festive season!
Good luck Megan xx

My mother is not feeling the spirit this year and therefore she’s CANCELLED CHRISTMAS! Like seriously. This will be my first time in all my 28 years we won’t be celebrating with my mom and I’m gutted so I think I’d gift her an illustration of her and her kids so that maybe just maybe she’ll remember christmas is necessary whether or not there’s gifts we just need family to be together.
