Late last year, life got away from me. I was beyond excited to become a brand ambassador for the Ford Everest through #CarseatFullstop. I was featured on Expresso with the lovely Graeme Richards. I filmed my first video for child safety with Ford. I had an amazing photoshoot with Josie Photography, with Charly showing off some of our favourite brands and awesome gift ideas. I was a guest expert on the Expresso Morning show, the South African Mommy Facebook page, and on Phumeza Lang‘s #SistahoodHour. And in amongst that craziness, I was betrayed and shattered emotionally by somebody incredibly close to me, two of my best friends moved away, my mommy fell ill and my granny went into hospital for a blood clotting issue. 2017 was somewhat of a bitch. 2018 was going to be better, and I decided that I wasn’t going to let January ruin that for me. So ‘tsek January, you cannot sit with us. I have officially declared you part of 2017, where you can have no affect on the awesomeness that 2018 has the potential to be.
Some days I wonder if I will ever be able to stick to a blog schedule again. I had every intention of finishing this post first thing on Tuesday morning. But then #momlife happened. Anyway, better late than never right? More giveaways to come and make you feel better! Also, if you are feeling like I am… exhausted to your bones, share this post with your other half or your sister or mother or child. While 1, 3 and 4 will be great for the misters in your life too, as an shattered mommy, I think every woman deserves one items from each of these! In case you missed it, here is the first half of my Christmas list for grown ups. And here we go with Best Christmas gifts for grown ups – Part 2!
Whose little one is going to be lighting up this Christmas when they see their gorgeous new Alilo Honey Bunny with his light up ears? One of you! I am so excited to give somebody this amazing gift I can’t even tell you!! Charly and Lilo had great fun choosing our winner today. So… Are you our Alilo Honey Bunny winner?!
You know how I work super hard? And how I am always working on 30 things at once? Well, I stopped. I had no choice when my mom fell ill and I had no back up with Charly and Christmas came charging at us out of nowhere – seriously, did anybody else feel it flew at us and past us in an instant this year? I wrapped up client work in a daze of panic over my mom, I shut down this space because my capacity was at zero, I handed the reigns to SA Sisterhood over to Laverne and I went into autopilot for Tums 2 Tots. I lost all momentum; I slowed and I stalled. [Read more…]
I have absolutely LOVED working with the brands I have found for my All I want for Christmas series and I am so very happy to hear that you have been showing these awesome people your support. So much so that this special mommy wants to GIVE you things to say thank you! Today’s giveaway is from Ella from Oh!Boy Kids, who you will remember from her Playdough set in All I Want for Christmas is the perfect gift for my toddler.
I wish all of you could win something this special from Watercolour Heart to share with your loved ones this Christmas. Sadly there can be only one winner, but I hope you send those photos through to Jess and let her create one of these amazing Christmas sets for you. [Read more…]
I have written a “perfect gift for my hubby” list before and many of those gifts remain the same; but since I can’t just buy those for him again, here are a few more ideas that are just awesome! You may note some of the same names appearing again, because the brands I have found for this series are so phenomenal and flexible that they cover so many of my bases for gifts!
It is no secret that I am a huge fan of Jess from Watercolour Heart. She has the most incredible talent and a just-as-incredible heart, and she is one of maybe 5 people in all the world who loves Christmas as much as I do. And I am so incredibly happy to tell you that Watercolour Heart has a gift for you this Christmas!
When it comes to Christmas, I was born to be a mom. I am ALL about the magic and excitement and the decorating and finding the perfect gift for my toddler. My Christmas list for Charly is literally endless, I add to it every day; every time I see anything that I think she might love, I tend to buy it. I’m the worst, I know, and this is why I am always broke; but I cannot resist seeing her light up over a gift. Deciding what to put on this particular list for all of you was SO hard, I hate leaving things out! These are some of my very favourites though, so here we go… All I want for Christmas is the perfect gift for my toddler!
