I’m sure you already know this, but I never leave Charly with anyone but Brett or my mom. And I even struggle with that. I know on some level that this is ridiculous; she is 1 already for heaven’s sake! Ridiculous or not, it is what it is.
I was an au pair for 6 years locally; I adored those kids and would have laid my life down for them, so it’s not like I don’t know there are amazing people out there that I can trust.
I have a friend who loves all kids so much that she opened Mother City Sitters. On top of a full time day job in PR (proof of her infinite patience and warm bubbly personality), she babysits, pet-sits and housesits whenever she can. She makes my list.
Lee-Ann is literally one of the warmest, most loving, gentle, fun human beings you will ever meet; just hearing her voice makes people smile. All the kids I know love her; Charly (who has known her since birth) refers to her as her “bubba”. She had been babysitting and housesitting for family and friends, and then friends-of-friends as the word got around, for 5 years, when she decided to create an actual service in Mother City Sitters. She has contactable references and you will instantly feel like you have known her for years on meeting her.
And so, I am finally planning to try to loosen the apron strings very slightly and making use of Mother City Sitters on a Saturday so that Brett and I can go on a date, without taking away my mom’s only free time (since she is with us 4 days a week already).

Hi there. I have clicked the Like button on your FB page and shared the pic of LeeBee. We have also known her for a few years now and our daughter, Riley, loves her – and even asks if we can go out so she can get her babysitter for a playdate! I’m sure when number 2 makes his appearance shortly he will also be an Aunty LeeBee fan. We have other friends who are also impressed with Mother City Sitters and, like yourself, usually only leave their kids with family – until now. Our dog-kids are also lovingly looked after by their LeeBee.
